Default Window Tinting

OK so I'm planning on getting my windows tinted this weekend. (Tired of burning my hand on the shifter).
What exactly do I need to do to ensure that I don't get scratches? I'm happy to pay extra, just want to make sure the job gets done right.
Also, if anyone knows a place in Northern VA where I could get this done, let me know.
Thanks!

Has anyone had scratches on the tint where the side mirror is at? Like where the window and the inside of the side mirror meet.

If its Pre-2008 buy the factory moleskins or the moleskin branded pieces.

the shop that intstalled mine told me that if i put high quality tint that it should not do it. the tint i got has a life time warranty and they told that for what ever reason it scrathes they will replace it. (so they say) cost me 120 for the door windows.
