I have noticed a difference in seat of the pants feel from some brands vs others. I only use Shell, BP or Sunoco in the stang. I track every tank and notice that Sunoco gives me the worst MPG. Shell does seem to make the stang run real well compaired to the others. Seems to get the best mpg as well on the shell

I always keep my eyes out for a Shell. I can tell their is a difference between running Shell gas and any others. If there isn't a shell around, I go to BP.

Gas is all the same.
Its the additives different suppliers put into it that makes it brand specific.
It practically all comes out of the same pipeline.
BP or SHELL all the way.
And from new stations, not ones who have 20 year old tanks. [:'(]

I use who I have cards for - Shell, Chevron/Texaco, Conoco/Phillips/76 - and our local Safeway grocery store depending upon whichis mostconvenient.

I usually fill up with BP 93, but to be honest I don't notice any difference with any other brands.

Well since Ford recommends BP, I go with that. Its usually the cheapest and I trust it more than Fastrip gas which usually runs the same as BP pricewise.....

No BP's or Sunoco's where I'm at. Only use Exxon and occasionally Shell. Can't tell a difference though.

Ford reccomends BP because BP paid them or worked out some kind of deal to put it on there gas cap. Ford didnt drive around and test every gas station in the mustang and say, "Yep, BP is the best one by far!" - My Oppinion

I havent found any documented proof yet, but to me that makes the most logical sense. I will say, I feel a difference filling up at Mobil vs marathon. Car feels like it just pulls a little harder higher up, Could be 100 different things or even in my head, but I always notice it.
