gas preference?
BP paid for the gas caps.
I use BP 93 octane. I've used Shell, Texaco and both were not a true 93 octane according to the dyno. I was never able to pull a lot of timing out of those gasolines compared to BP.

I personaly like to use a well known brand exxon, bp sunoco etc, however about a week ago I got some bad gass in my car, it was knocking (filled up where I usualy fill up exxon), I used regular 87 gass as I am not tuned. So after I filled up about a mile or two down the road the car felt slugish. I continued on my way granny shifting until I got home from work that evening. I put in some octane booster and got the worst fuel economy I have ever gotten on a tank of gass, but after the octane booster the problem cleared itself after a fiew miles, I averaged around 15mpg self calculated.
I honestly would drive farther to fill up if I could find a nice bp or a decent sunoco.

Point being, my engine was knocking, then it wasent magicaly or it must be in my head? put a bit of water in your tank and see how the car runs.
also tell that to my budy at work with a carbed 350 running 13:1 compression on his engine.

If thats all Ford got out of it, they got ripped.

The Ford locking gas cap has no such advertising on it.
