question about sping install
Ijust bought theBMR 2in lowering springs from a guy that really knows mustangs and told me that with my tire size (275/35/18)I wouldn't have to put on an adjustable panhard bar...I was just wondering what some of you guys thought of this...let me know.
thanks

RE: question about sping install
It depends on the tire width, rim width, and backspacing.
Wider tires limits the amount of outside fender clearance
and any shift can cause trouble such as a 2" drop.
If its close, you need an adjustable panhard bar.
An Adjustable Panhard Bar is in your near future.
And also an adj. UCA is recommended to adjust
the pinion angle back to proper specs after the 2" drop.

You'll want to do your homework before making modifications to your suspension. A considerable drop is going to require other modifications; LCA relocation brackets, UCA for pinion angle adjustment and an adj.panhard bar for centering the axle. If you are lowering the front as well, you'll need to look into camber bolts or camber plates.
Check out the handling section, F1fan has posted A LOT of great intel concerning suspension modifications.

RE: question about sping install
You can put the springs in without an adj PHB or any of that other stuff and see how it works for you, its not like anything is going to break. Yes it will affect your handling but that may or may not bother you depending on your style and use. I'll bet you'll want an adj PHB at a min though, with tires that wide and a big drop it is highly likely your left tire will be sticking outside the fender and the right tire...it might be inside the fender or just even.

RE: question about sping install
thanks alot guys...i am going to eventually get the adj phb im just having money issues at the moment and was wondering if it was worth the time to put the springs in now or if i should just wait until i can get some more suspension work (adj phb, lower control arms, etc) as for wheelsize i have 18x10s on the rear...most likely i will wait until i can afford more so i can do it all right

fender lip during full suspension compression such as over bumps.
The rear endwill stick put of the drivers side with that much drop
(2") and an OEM length panhard bar.
