Whipple (auto)
Does anyone have a whipple ho kit on an automatic, want to supercharge and want the whipple, but i hear frpp doesnt recommend the ho kit for automatics nor do they have a tune.
Thought about getting the non ic but its to hot in texas not tohave a ic,but i dont want to blow the tranny with ho kit either, does anyone know if ford is going to come out with a tune for intercooled vesion for the autos.Might just have to settle for a saleen from brenspeed but i really like the whipple.

Go to whipples website they sell a 7psi HO kit with a tune for the auto. FRPP don't sell it but whipple does. I am not sure if the tune is like the FRPP/Whipple 10psi tune is. They do state that their tunes with FRPP have lot of advance saftey features like timing retard, knock sensors, etc. to prevent detonation. Give them a call and ask.

Yeah, FRPP does not want to warranty the auto trans at 10 psi. They're just cautious this way. You can get 10 psi kits from Vortech, Paxton, Procharger, Saleen etc with autotunes but not FRPP. The easy way around this is to just buy the HO kit and have someone like VMP write you a tune for it. Talk to Jared at Lethal Performance too.

RE: Whipple (auto)
If you do get the whipple kit go intercooled . My tuner installs the whipple Intercooled kit on the auto's, sets it up uses there tune at he lower frpp safe rating. Then at customers request ........ changes pulleys and retunes car with a custom dyno tune for the new higher psi setup. He readjusts transmission shift points so it is not as hard on the transmission as some of his normal tunes.
