Where did you get that antenna? What did it cost? How is the reception?
Thanks.

RE: shorty antenna opinions
I just ordered the 14" black one for my Shelby about an hour ago. Those too, come with the 32" mast for some reason - really an eyesore.
I had the 8" black on my old GT and didn't notice any change in reception. It almost looked a little too short for my taste though. I think the 14" will match the roofline pretty well.

$17.99 shipped. The 8" antenna I got from them seems more like 6". As stated above, when you are on the fringe of reception, then you may notice the change. Other than that, you should be ok.

RE: shorty antenna opinions
I have a 14" shorty and I haven't noticed any decrease in radio reception. I chose the 14" because I wanted it to match the roof line. I didn't think that an 8" would look very good, but I saw some Mustangs at a local meet recently and now that I've seen the 8" in person I think it looks a lot better than I originally thought.
But, I think the best option is to remove the antenna entirely, have the hole patched/painted and use a windshield antenna. From what I've seen from pictures of the 2010+ Mustang, Ford is moving the antenna to the rear passenger side quarter panel and they are also making it much smaller.
