Hey all! I've tried Searching for write-ups and threads on this but I just could not find what I need. Yesterday I discovered my frontpassenger Shaker500 sub is blown. Doesn't surprise me since it's an 2005 and it's factory equipment. Anyways,this seems like a difficult/expensive replacement. I made the mistake of going to Best Buy and asking them. Their "audio guy" told me they don't make replacements. They'd have to custom set one. I had to call BS on this. I know guys have replaced them. I just don't know what to go with, where to get it, and I can't find any sort of write-up on installation.

Help and suggestions would be greaty appreciated

kicker, rockford, polk, and a few others make 8" subs that well fit in fairly well.. you might have to lose thegrill... you can pick em up for 70-130 depending on what you want to spend.

I was hoping to keep the stock interior look with using the old plate cover. This isn't possible usually? I'm looking into the Rockford Fosgate 8" PS1. Anyone use this and also is there a write-up on install How-To?

I think the grille that covers the subwoofer is glued to the basket, so removing it usually destroys it. It has 8 screws holding it on, but apparently that wasn't enough.

I noticed that when trying to remove the grille to see the speaker. Took all the screws off and the double-sided tape/glue was a pain! BUT the grille is still in tact.
