Default need new tires!!

Hey guys, Im looking at some new tires, just a set of 2 for now, is all i can afford. I would wait and get all four together, but two wont pass inspection this month...

SO

Im looking at a couple of different falken tires,

the Ziex ZE-512

and

the FK-452

IN THE SIZE OF 255-45-18

The 512 (falkens website) are rated for mud and snow all season performance. I dont drive my car in the snow, but I am looking for a tire that will grip well, that has a good tread wear, and are not too expensive!! I can get the 512's brand new , for about $380 installed plus tax.... The 452's I can get for about $450 installed...thats a little too much for me.

I am open to any and all input on this subject.

Bottom line, I need 2 new tires, and i dont want to get the same small 235 size on the car now, that are not very expensive!!

Thanks !!

go with the 512 then if price is your limiting factor.

however I like the tread pattern of the 452 better.

I do like the 452's a bit better, but yes, money is the limiting factor.... however, I want to make sure that I am not buying just "snow tires" and I will get very good grip on dry roads, as well as when it rains through-out the summer

thanks

Well I think I found the tires I am gonna try.... they are new, NITTO now has NTRD1 Redline tires in the 255/45ZR18 size I am looking for. They are really cheap...and I guess Im gonna go with these until just to pass the NYS inspection, then go for a good set of the toyo proxes 4....

anybody that has any experience with these, please share your thoughts!

I just installed a set of sumitomo's htrzIII's from NTB last friday. they we're able to make me a better deal on those than the falkens or nittos.

reviews were pretty good, so I bought'em

What size wheels do you have?

How did NTB do installing the Sumitomo's htrzIII's?

The reason I ask is, I had NTB install the Sumitomo htrzIII's on my 20" wheels about a month ago and they scratched the h#$@ out of my rims. Just wondering........

Hopefully you had a better experience than I did.

i'm running the stock fan blades, 18x8.5. they didn't scratch the wheels or anything. tires are 245/45/18 in front and 275/40/18 in rear
