I'm curious how much abuse these cars can really take. How much is to much? I was out cruising around tonight and floored it several times both from a roll and from a dead stop. Obviously that's harder on the car than nice gentle acceleration.

At what point does it become abuse of your car? If I step on it say a couple times a day is that going to kill it?

 

Abuse?......One guy's abuse, is another guy's enjoyment. If you maintain your car religously (fluid upgrades, and frequent changes) it can take most anything you can dish out to it. The computer has a rev limiter to protect the engine from total idiots. Go have fun with it!

its normal when i get in the car it sees 5800rpm and 7psi

 

90 percent of the time I drive mine easy. I used to tear the crap out of my cars, now I just drive normally!

 

i drive mine like a normal human. every now and then, i will show it who is boss.

 

I love abusin' and the car likes to be abused.

 

I abuse it more than not...that's all I'll say...

 

Wow Slinky, what kind of motor do you have that spins 5,500K? Did you swap a jet engine in that baby? I take it up to 6k every once and a while but never above 3k or more than 1/4 throttle when its not at full operating temperature.
