Wow Slinky, what kind of motor do you have that spins 5,500K? Did you swap a jet engine in that baby? I take it up to 6k every once and a while but never above 3k or more than 1/4 throttle when its not at full operating temperature.

I have a V6. It rev limits at 5750?
My MSD DashHawk's shift indicator is set just
below the stock rev limiter. The Raptor is kind
of a pre-shift indicator. It works well that way.
The DashHawk is a visualAND an audiable warning.

When I owned her in the first year or two, I did hit limp-mode several times but that was the result of shifting like a wild man from 5th to 3rd and so on. I know from experience that it's better to leave off the traction control because the son-of-a-bitch will interupt your fun with all it's traction control. Now with my 4:10 gears I only downshift from 5th to 4th for immediate barn burning and sometimes that isn't really necessary with all the gear I'm pulling. As far as the rpm factor , I still light it up occasionally but thanks to the gas prices I'm obeying the law more and more each day.

Is this setting something that is user adjustable with an XCAl 2?
