Default PI torque converter

Has anyone had any experience with the PI Multi-Disc Torque Converter, I plan to purchase it but not sure if i should go with this one or the TCI.

PI is the best. I've heard bad things about TCI from my transmission shop. The guy says they are just redone stock converters. PI is the way to go.
