A few weeks ago I was traveling home from the upper peninsula in Michigan and it was night. I think I saw no less that 40- 50 deer all lingering by the side of the hwy. For roughly 100 miles there were little groups of 2 or 3 here, then another 4-5, the whole way. A couple started to bolt in front of me but thought better of it.

I was white knuckled all the way home cause those bastards can just fly out there and give you no time to react.

Looks like your car did pretty well against it though. Glad you weren't injured .

I hit about 4 in my last vehicle, an 05' 4 door dodge ram. Each time, the deer ran away, and I had no damage to my truck. That Dodge was a beast...

I'm scared for my Mustang. I don't think it'll be that tough.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

I took her to the body shop this morning to get a preliminary estimate, and the total was $5446. They can't open the hood though, so they don't know if some more stuff under there is screwed up, so the final total is probably a bit more than that.

Sorry dude but like you said you can upgrade now and the wife cant Bit** to much.

Ive hit 20 deer in the last 10 years with some of my vehicles it is never fun and the last one I hit I got out and chased the son of a gun thru the woods with a flashlight and a pistol.
the cop told me that here in Va we are not allowed to shoot them when they are down from an accident ( PETA ) They have to call the game warden (excuse me the animal control deperatment of BS)

anywho To all I have found one product that really works on keeping dear and other animals away. It is called the deer hornet man it works. no I have nothing to do with the company but got it from cabelas . it was 39 bucks when I got it. you have to wire it to 12 volts and mount this thing over your front lic plate. It puts out an audible noise you can hear!!!! and all the animals look up at me coming now. while using it I have not hit a deer in about 3 years. the one time I did hit one in front of my neighbors I had forgotten to turn it on.

sorry for you damage right here in prime conv. weather!
