3M tape?

3M tape?
I'm going to install some louvers today. They are put on by 3M tape. So I'm looking online at autozone and see they have 3M tape for only $2.99. Is that the right tape? It seems cheap. I just don't want to get the wrong tape and put my louvers on then find out one or both flew off going down the highway.

RE: 3M tape?
This is where I would be thinking to myself. Why did i buy these expensive plastic non functional louvers in the first place.
oh well.
Sorry i couldnt help myself but i have no idea if its the right kind or not.

RE: 3M tape?
3M double sided tape automotive tape sticks pretty damn strong. I'm surprised your louvers didn't ship w/ tape already on them?
But, yeah get that and clean/prep both surfaces very well and also know that it takes ~24 hours for the tape tu cure (not supposed to drive it while it's curing).
Good luck and have fun!

RE: 3M tape?
Thanks for the help guys. Got the 3M tape from autozone. Put the louvers on with no problems. I made sure to clean both the louvers and windows and wiped with rubbing alcohol before applying the tape. Will put up pics soon but my car is very dirty and I can't or don't want to wash my car for atleast 24 hours so I don't screw with the adhesive of the 3M tape.
