RE: are we mod CRAZY?
My 2 weaknesses in life, my car and home stereo equipment.
I am constantly buying something for one or the other.
Either a new appearance part or new speakers... both are complete money pits.
But, it's sooooo much fun!!!

its an addiction for sure, i just had an accident in my 07 gt, and so i spent 4 g's from the insurance on my car, roush body with exhaust, rear window louver, black headlights, black tailights, and a couple other things. but its fun seeing how your car can evolve with just a few things done..

Yeah,I'm addicted!! Putting $$$$ and hard work into my 2006 GT. Sure it's a Mustang GT,Tourch Red. But there is not other Stang like mine. And that makes it worth every dollar and every hour I put into it.

it's a way to express your on uniqueness(like a tattoo)....it only becomes an addiction when it starts to interfere with your life and family...i.e. time with them and finances..
like everyone knowsne mod leads to another..it's a never ending cycle because it has a euphoric action that our hypothalamus loves!!! even if we could buy the most expensive stang out there:gt500,kr,saleen,roush and any others, we would indefinitely "mod" it as well,,,,,we are unique americans that can't stand the thought of "stock",eventhough a stock gt or v6 is a very nice bang for the buck car.....after you add up all the mods you have put your money into,and the car itslef,it will come close or surpass the value of a "better" mustang...meaning, if we have just saved a little longer, not many of us would have bought a 6 or gt.....it is all about fun...the feeling you get when you have researched a part and it arrives to your door is awesome! even the waiting period can be fun too...more so, opening the package and the feeling of relief that you got what you wanted and will put it on yourself is priceless......most of us have a relationship with our mustangs that can go deeper than any other group of car people......all our mods can be summarized as ,"the kid in a candy store syndrome". that's why my wife gave me the name 1morepart because i always say that..ironically, she wants a gt with all the "goodies" as she calls it......can you ever get to the point of "no more mods?" DOUBTFUL, because you can always modify something.....

RE: are we mod CRAZY?
Ive done alot already and just bit the bullet on some more parts (rear CS bumper, brakes,radio), so I have only one thing to say as I am helpless:
Hi, I am Joe and I am a Modaholic.
Please brothers and sisters, follow along with me.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot "MOD";
courage to"MOD" the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
