RE: Retro S197??
Pascal, I had to laugh because I know exactly what you're thinking. After watching an episode of Chip Foose's show where he used some fastback panels I had to go out to the garage and move the angle grinder to another room away from my car so I wouldn't try the same thing! (I am way too busy for something like that right now!)

RE: Retro S197??
A true fastback has the trunk lid and rear glass at the same angle.
Like one long slope.
The S197 doesn't, the rear lid is horizontal.
Anyway, I'm not gonna cut away my current Limer.
I want to do it on another car that was wrecked, preferably a sixxer, and go to town.
What I want to do hasn't been done. People put the 67/68 front end on them but retained the doors and part of the quarter and tail panel.
The only thing I'll keep from the S197 on the outsideis the roof and glass.
Tricky this should be.
Right now, it's just a strong idea.
I burrowed the sheet metal from my 68 for the pictures.
I have to finish this car too[&:]. A lot of stuff for one guy[8D].
