Retro S197??
ORIGINAL: pascal
I'm not getting into a debate over this.
BTW, nice paint job.

Most interior overhauls can be done VERY cheeply and with no effort. All seats ever manufactured can bolt to a modular rail system and steering wheels and interior door skins can be changed out cheeply too. The Obsidian Mustang (modified S197 to look like a fastback) spend 70k on the body electronics and engine, but only 15k on the interior. I know for a fact that this at one point was a S197 interior, but look at all the small changes they did to make big results. Don't forget the interior.

It's a mix of 67 with modern stuff... Corvette seats, I think.
Legion5, thanks man.
I agree... Interiors can be done cheaply when you do it yourself.
And custom work has no limits.
This is done last though, and I prolly keep the S197 upper dash with the aluminum accent (not necessarely OEM).
I see a total custom center console, seats etc...
I need to locate that beat-up donor car for cheap before I get serious about this idea.
I would do this project along with my 68 at the same time
.
That way, I'll have everything I need for measurements, visual how-to etc...
