Are you wanting this car for track use as well, or just street racing? The centri's have a whistle as idle so that might kind of hurt your "sleeper" idea. How much hp are you wanting to have? Are you going to do other mods as well? Installing yourself?

I would like to have the power for street and strip, while having the "sleeper" look, to have the car tuned and the rear gears done. anything to get me to that point. plain and simple power of a gt 500 without the flashy look of it.

Are you wanting to have the power come on almost instantly or later in the rpms?

With the budget you can pretty much get any s/c you want. Since we narrowed it down to the centri's it going to be between: Paxton, Procharger, and vortech. Also do you plan on using the tune sent with the system or are you wanting to get a dyno tune? Another thing is where are you located? Are there any local performance shops around, you might want to see what they specialize in. Thatwas one deciding factor for me.

I would use the tune with the system but I have been living in the tampa area for two years and the only place that I found is blue oval performance I believe its in clearwater I would have them do the install and have them advise me which tune would be best for the car. one question which made you go for the paxton, from the choices you made.

I chose the paxton because of Brenspeed. I have talked to some people who have gotten the paxton kit from brenspeed and they love it. Also it has been dyno proven that the tune sent with the system is SPOT ON with concerns to the a/f ratio. Also they have not had one single blowup with that system on a stock S197. Their customer service is the best, they answered every ? I could think of and told me more.
