i have the 93 race tune and i like it, but its a little too much for everyday driving. it keeps my overdrive locked out below about 60mph.for my everyday commute to work i use the 87 performance tune.

I use my Bama 93 Race every day. It very touchy, as soon as you let go of the gas, the throttle shuts creating a lot of engine drag. At high speeds it doesn't do it or I can feel it, but low speed it almost jerks.

Joo,

What is the seat of the pants difference between the two? Should I run a tank of 93 through before switching between 89 and 93 tunes?

Sonic...I love the avatar. Plus the throttle response you speak of is what I want. Is it that instantaneous opening the throttle as well?

what i usually do when i switch over is run the tank down to about 1 gallon left (I'm sure some people on the forum have a problem with this ) then put about 3 gallons of 93 in, run that low, then fill her up and switch over to the 93 tune

I have 87 perf, 89 torque, and 93 race

I use 87 perf on long trips (to save on gas), 89 torque for my default, and 93 race for "hotrodding"

seat of the pants: perf pulls harder on the high rpms, torq pulls harder on the lower rpms, and race pulls harder all the way thru

for day to day driving, the difference between the 89 torq and 93 race is negligible, as you dont really wind them up to high, but both are noticable beter than the 87 perf tune down low, and all are waaaaayyyy better than stock
