MATTE Black Stripes?
Hey guys, im ordering the 10" matte black stripes today. Does anyone have any pictures of them? Also any tips or suggestions on how to install them properly. How long will it take me to install them?
The only advice I can give you (from doing vinyl decals on R/C cars) is that you're going to need a lot of Windex, and a lot of patience. Also a squeegee would probably help. Take your time, and make sure you have a good centerline to work from. Below is a picture of a car (not mine) with 10" matte black stripes.

Yeah, after posting just realized that what I said probably doesn't really make a lot of sense about the Windex. Once you get your centerline figured out and have something to match your stripes to (I'd probably use 3M Blue Painters Tape down the center line as your base to line up from) you're going to need to apply Windex liberally to the adhesive side of the stripes, as well as the surface you're going to put them on. This will allow you to slide the stripe around until it's exactly where you want it. Then, very carefully squeegee the Windex out from under the vinyl, and dry everything. For the Bumpers and anywhere else there's contours you'll probably want a hair dryer so you can heat the vinyl just a little so it's more pliable to get it around the edges. If it heat it too much, you'll be able to stretch it too easily and it'll deform.
