Might have a problem I didnt see. I have the Saleen hood and I'm not sure if the Whipple will fit with it. I know some people have the stock hood with the Whipple so I thought the Saleen would fit but looking at it in the box and doing a mock fit it doesnt look good......Does anyone know if someone has this blower with the Saleen hood.

I believe the hood works with this S/C! I know it works on the stock hood.....motor mounts will solve it if it is a problem anyway as it will be necessary to help control engine flex with the new found torque coming from the motor and help prevent the shifts from being missed or harder. Torque limiters will help too! I believe you need a tuner to load a canned tune? could be wrong but I have an SCT tuner.

Oh and IwinULOSE
You guys not find it neccessary to have a custom tune done on your exact car? I would feel safe using a canned tune to get to the nearest dyno, but I would definitley want a car specific tune after before i really started matting the pedal.... That's just me. You'll probably be 99% safe, but I just have this thing about safe rather than sorry.
Whipple has been around for a long time and FRPP and Whipple have worked together to get the tune done right on the canned tune right out of the box. IMO it can be better at safe guarding your motor than a custom tune that may be more aggressive with the timing. Not saying that a dyno tune to check all things are running right out of the box wouldn't be a benefit either. I have a custom tune but it was based off the Whipple canned tune and changed from there with my tuner/installer for my mods and what he feels is "safe" for the motor. I was running pig rich the first time and then perfect the second session. Whipples canned tune runs rich!
