I have heard the Camaro will be very close to 4,000 pounds? Anyone else heard this?

There is an article in a recent Car & Driver comparing the Bullit to the new Challenger and accelleration wise the Challenger, despite having tons more HP, isn't really that much faster... I believe it weighed in at 4100 lbs.
I think a supercharged GT should be able to pull away from either one rather easily... but don't forget, Mustang owners aren't the only ones who mod their cars and an equally modded Camaro or Challenger would probably pull away from a s/c Mustang all day.
Their engines are bigger... no replacement for displacement.

Let me show up in a k20 loaded civic hatchback turbo. I will spank a supercharged srt8.

4100 divided by 425 hp = 9.6470 lbs per hp
3400 divided by 300 hp = 11.333 lbs per hp (The stang would only need 51 more hp at the crank to be = )
(or shed 500 pounds <- haha)
All things being equal to both cars the win goes to the challenger but in our world its not. The potential is greater for the bigger engine with all being equal and for the smaller engine it would just take more engine work or more boost to be at the same level as the car with the larger engine. I mean were talking 1.5 liters here yea thats a good amount of displacement gap but 700 lbs is ALOT of weight too! I feel that a modded stang vs a modded challenger the stang can run with it for sure and the challenger probably would pull away from it all day modded vs modded because of the huge weight difference of 700 lbs... Just looking at it from another point of view.^^^

I will take a supercharged GT anyday over the challenger. AS far as the infamous NEXT GEN camaro? Letme actually see one coming off the production line before I weigh in on that...who knows what it will truly look like once they come out of production..who knows what the FACTS of the new camaro will even truly be. allot of speculation, rumour etc...but no one has stated for sure (except car magazines) what the camaro will even be like.....as far as the looks and performance etc of the camaro compared to that of a supercharged GT: I will still take the GT....as far as who would be faster....remember,,,anyone anyday can always be faster...thats just the way it is...we buy cars, we mod cars ....its not like us stang owners are the only ones that will supercharger their vehicles...Supercharged GT for the win

RE: Whippled/Saleened SC'
The LS3 C6 vettes runs what, mid 12's? If thats the case, then a stock camaro will not be faster than that. So, I would think(excluding traction and other variables) that a Mustang GT that can run mid 13's with only 260rwhp, should be able to cut 1+ seconds off it's E.T. with 180+ more rwhp. And as far as times go with the challenger it's just a charger srt8 minus 100-200lbs.

+1 To Home Boi above me. Bring it on!
And to answer your SC GT > CHALLENGER/MARO question yes. A Supercharged Mustang will smoke a "stock" cammaro or challenger all day long. Forced Induction...
