Default Automatic Question!

hello everyone,
I have gone to the strip about 3 times now and my best time has been a 13.9 one time out of the 9 runs i got.. what frustrates me is that the car keeps on doing 14.054 14.036 14.078 and so on! isnt this car suppose to be a 13.6 bone stock? my only mods are the o/r prochamber n boomtubes! btw im runnin on 20s

Ive tried everything possible to improve my time but just has not helped much! what am i doing wrong? i always turn off traction, turn off o/d!

You should be doing better than that! the 20s will hurt a little ..but still. what elevation do you race at? higher altitudes will produce lower ETs.

We really need to know your altitude. I'm at 5000' and I bust off 14.3's.
Spare tire removal and 1/4 tank will get you a tenth. CAI/tune will get
you another 3-5 tenths. Also, try launching at 1800-2000 rpms by
placing your left foot on the brake and throttle up to 1800-2000,
mash pedal at 3rd yellow or wait for the green..whatever.

look at my sig. i ran 14.00 on Wed in Michigan. It was 85 out with about 85 % humidity. Atmospheric conditions make a huge difference. Also, these cars hate to be hot.

Yeah, my car seems to be right much quicker and stronger in clear cold winter days. Hence the cold air intake name of air intake.

the 20s + weather is your biggest problem.. bring your stock wheels to the track.. for all intents and purposes you are stock + some weight.. the o/r pro chamber I don't think would even shave .1 off your ET.. maybe .05..

and buster are you an auto or manual? I thought most autos were in the upper 13s.. i suspect with stock tires OP could get 13.6-13.7.. your launching could be off too.. +1 on the what is your 60'?

Altitude makes a big difference...example..Im in N.J ,an auto with cai & tune can rip off 13.2- 13.4 ETs without a problem but N.J is at sea level. if your at just couple thousand FT above sea level the numbers will fall off accordingly! 20" wheels are not helping matters, and heat/humidity will sap your #s as well.
