driver error?
hey wsup guys im new to the rear wheel drive systems and the stick shift so pardon my newbyness. first off, like every beginner with stick, there is bound to be problems with the first gear, again, i have only been driving it for the second day now, and i still call myself a newby. so heres my question.
did it just take you guys a while to get goin in first nice and smooth like? or could it just be me and my lack of experience?
like i said before, dont mean to sound like a newby, just lookin for advice

Bit of both.
Your lack of experience is definitely going to make it a little harder to be smooth for the first while, but if your car is brand new that will also be a factor.
Everything is nice and new and fresh, and mechanically a bit stiff at first. Just keep practicing with it and in no time you'll be better as a driver, and the car will break in a bit and be smoother as well, so then you'll have no problem with it.

How to Drive a Manual Transmission
I was given this when I was having trouble and it's very informative.

yea its gunna take u a good bit 2 be consistent and smooth...i learned 2 drive on a international dump truck which meant nothing when i tired 2 drive a car... i had 2 learn all over again and it was on my gt500...practice will make perfect and the best way i could tell u to learn is find a parking lot that has a fairly step incline and practice on the hill....
I've taught two people how to drive stick with my stang now and, granted the cars they own are 4 bangers, but learning on this vehicle was a big asset as it is a bit touchy compared to other vehicles. Learn right on this one and you'll be set. And don't expect to be perfect right away!
alright thanks guys its actually been a big help knowing im not the only one suffering about this kinda bs. i live in northern virginia and the only thing we have an obscene amount of is hills
it took me about 3 days to be drivable.. the first days i spent in a parking lot.. what actually helped me out alot was when i really had to go some where and had no ride.. so i manned up an just took my car.. i think the best way to learn is to just go out on the streets in light traffic.
I having been driving only automatics for the last 10 years; I was really good with the standards that I had owned before then and it still took me a few days to get used to the clutch in my new one. Give it time you will pick it up.
I will tell you one thing when your learning to drive a stick you realize how many hills there really are, and it seems to never fail that some is right up on your bumper lol. I used to get so nervous but that will go away with time and practice.
