Nice mounting in the tire well.

No triple AAA so I need that spare

Yesterday I desgined a box type structure out of foam core to fit up behind the left tail light and provide a nice flat surface facing the right side for the amp to be mounted on.

I am doing it out of MDF this week Carpeting on it and I think it will be perfect!

Delurker - did you replace all the carpeting? Your subbox matches the trunk perfectly!!
I figure with as much as I put into my stereo system, I can afford AAA in case I get a flat out in the boonies. I haven't had a spare tire for many years and I've never been stranded (knock wood).

The carpeting is all replaced, though the side trim pieces are original.

Nice install delurker! I used to do custom auto installs - your pics bring back memories. Nice to see the Cap. tucked over on the side too. It just kills me seeing all these ricers going down the road with their headlights dimming with the beat!
Thanks! There are actually four 1-farad caps, two on each side. No headlights dimming, which is good, because I usually run two batteries and I didn't want to add that 50 pounds in the trunk.
