well i swear about 80% have them where i live,a lot of thembeing real estate chicks around here
Ok guys. I kinda see where he is comming form here in Fl more than half Mustang Verts that I see on the road are driven by women. BUT......at the same time when I graduate college I plan on ordering a brand new performance white vert. My grandfather used to have a mid 90's benz vert that was his toy car and it was fun to ride around it.....Now imagine in a freaking Mustang. I think that it is sooooo bad *** when you can throw the top down and have a CDC bar across the top and hear the exhaust rumble.

tn_gt. Your car is beautiful...no doubt. and did you say 13" rears? omg thats sick. At the same time Boochys vert is wayyy cool. I would kill to have either cars GT or not. A mustang is a mustang and unless your stock you can get everybodys head turnin.
Thanks.

^^^your right and good point, im not really against the vert thing as much as i think the rag top makes the car look lame, if it was like a hard top vert it would be fine and i really wish they made them where the hard top just popped out like the vettes, that would freakin amazing

the new glass roof will help, but still honestly instead of offering $1000 for a sunroof offer that pop out top just over the driver and passenger's head for $1500...i would pay it in a heartbeat

Quick question.. If the Vert and Coupe were the same price, don't you think that they would be selling like 8 Verts to 2 coupes? Why would you buy a Coupe if you could have a Vert when the handleing is almost identical?

Verts are still about 150 pounds heavier, i.e. will be a tad slower, but meh, there's nothing like cruising with the top down . I'm a beachbum surfer so there was no question to which stang i got. And for those who think verts are for chicks, well the original stangs wereseen as secretary cars, didn't stop the pony did it? [8D]

You guys say "girly" and all that means to me is "better".

EC
Well I was wondering when one of the ladies would step up and defend their honor. Certainly none of the boys were gonna do it. Nice job.

And...while we are on the topic of girls and verts, here in the east their are PLENTY of mustang coupes (convertibles too, but not in a notable majority), GT and V6, that are driven by women. The women are often hot, and that makes the cars hotter.

This whole "girly" discussion is getting really silly. Somebody needs to explain to me what makes one mustang GT more "muscular" than another, and how the roof has anything to do with it. Where I come from, it's what'sUNDER the hood that counts. Do you guys who think you need more "macho" looking cars go out and install trailer hitches and hang brass ***** from them?

my wife and i cant decide on a convertible or a coupe...

whats the stock weight on a vert vs the coupe?
any 1/4 mile or handling difference?

i like the cover that cervini makes for the stalker kit... can it be used with a stock stang?

never owned a convertible so im kinda leaning towards it but idk [8D]
JC Turbo, as someone has already suggested on this thread, rent a vert and drive it for a week or so. That's what my wife and I did. We loved it. But convertibles aren't for everyone. Find out if you and your wife enjoy driving with the top down. If you do, get the vert. If not, buy a Mustang coupe.....it's the best looking coupe in the world. Come back and post a pic of your new Mustang. Good luck.
Agree. In a convertible, you are visible to everyone, and on very hot, sunny days, the black leather of my car is almost unbearable. On the highway, I get truckers looking down into the car giving me comments.[&:] Nice that I can hide under the top with the AC on if I feel like it.

But nothing beats the feeling I get from taking a ride at dusk with the top down, over the Newport, RI bridge, hand on the shifter, foot hovering the clutch, warm breeze with a hint of of sea salt, taking in the view, listing to the exhaust as I climb the bridge in 4th, and shift to 5th as I crest the top...almost like flying...almost

I think your roofline looks lame in comparison to the vert. In fact your whole car looks lame because it looks stock except for those shiny ghetto wheels.
Glass roofsare not for muscle cars and neither are sun roofs. Those would look even more lame than a plain coupe roof. Can you imagine a Chevelle witha sunroof? Or maybe a 1969 Charger R/T with a sun roof? That would be hideous but either car looks very nice witha drop top.
The hard top verts belong on SL500s not muscle cars. There are many cars including the Mustang that look better witha carriage style convertible top.

Excellent. Now stock mustangs look lame. This thread is hillarious. Do any of you realize what complete fools you sound like? I mean seriously?

Let me lay it down for you.

1. People with verts are going to say that verts are better.
2. People with coupes are going to say that coupes are better.
3. People with coupes are not going to convince people that verts are better.
4. People with verts are not going to convince people that coupes are better.

Personally? I'm a coupe guy. And, contrary to the belief of some people in this thread, I didn't buy the coupe because it was cheaper.
That being said, do I give a crap if someone else prefers a vert over a coupe? Absolutely not. And, lets be honest, if it REALLY bothers you that someone prefers the vert over the coupe or vice versa, you're seriously insecure.
