think drag radials would make the biggest difference right now? I have my stock 17' rims to throw them on. would that get me close to breaking into the 12's?

If you're having traction issues, then yeah...get the DR's, then a T/C.
With 4.10's, driveshaft, CAI/tune 12's should be there...unless you're at
higher altitude. Engine heatsoak will cost you 2-3 tenths easy. Get a run
in while the motor is cold...push that baby all the way to the tree.

then you NEED drag radials
and as for long tubes, it aint that hard. It took me like 6 hours to install them, I could have done it in less time, but I was lacking tools and energy (finished early in the morning).
If your car is not your daily driver, def do it yourself with time.
