normal wear bd tear is what they will say. its cheap leather/pleather, don't waste your time.
Yes I heard not the entire seat is leather but it's your car and mine was replaced. They took pictures of it and forward it to Michigan then from there I was approved. Replace it if you can.

IIRC, the side bolsters (back and butt) are leather also. Just the sides and back are vinyl.

**looks at self** na, i'm 6ft and about 170lbs, so nope not over weight.. Since i got a year and a half to go on my warranty, would be probally best me wait and let it completely crack with foam sticking out.. This way i can't hear "Its normal wear"..

If for what ever reason they dont fix it for you, it only costs about 1300 or so to get the seats reapolstered. And then you could choose higher quality leather and possibly a different color.

**looks at self** na, i'm 5ft 8in and about 159lbs, so i don't think I am over weight either... but my car is still showing where it looks like the tan color has worn off the seat in the same location as O/P...

I've got 26K and no loss of color on the seats. Just the wrinkling that is normal. I do clean and condition them regularly though.

Nope, if the top coat is removed and the white subsurface leather underneath is visible, they'll replace it under warranty. If a dealer says otherwise, talk to Ford.

Speaking of replacement, you can buy the entire set (sans airbags) from newtakeoff.com for $350. I got mine about two weeks ago. The plan is that the car stays with us until we are no longer able to drive. So I thought buying it now and storing it would be cheaper in the long run when/if replacement becomes necessary. If not, well, I guess it will be easy to find someone to buy it 20-30 yrs from now.
