Paint rims or not?

the stock bullitts are painted and clear clear coated.

if prepped and painted correctly you can do it and they will stand up as well as the originals. If not they will start to chip. They must be heavily clear-coated and then use several layers of wax to protect them.

I like how mine (17") turned out and matched the look I was going for. I think the flat black look requires more mods to the rest of your car and makes the stock badges stand out too much. The unpainted rim will look dynamite, especially if you get the spokes painted in Alloy!

I wish that were the case, but w/ my car being a DD all year long I think our northeast winters w/ all the salt and sand they put on the roads would destroy all my hard work painting them.

if you are going to paint them at all, go all black. in my opinion, if you leave a chrome lip it makes your rims look smaller. Although if you do paint your rims all black, make sure to keep your tires shined up. It will look much better that way.
