Default Tuner Question

I have a SCT Xcal3. I bought it brand new and its only been used with my car.

I know a tuner has 5 resets before it locks. So my question is, if I use my tuner on my brother's 07' mustang, it will count as another reset, leaving me with 3 left. If I put it back to my car, will it use up another reset? Or will it automatically recognize that its been on the car before and just change?

Basically, I want to use 1 tuner on 2 mustangs consistantly and was wondering if it will keep using resets between switches or if it will just recognize the two mustangs as former hosts.

Every time you swap between cars you'll lose changes. You cannot use one tuner on two cars swapping back and forth without depleting your changes.

You also have to have SCT send you a file to download to theXCAL3 to switch to a different car.

You can read DIAG codes from other Fords without the lockout happening.

Before you can use it on his car you must return your car to the stock tune. (Pointless with your mods)
Your tunes are locked to your PCM code. He needs to by a tuner and tunes.
