Default Question about my JLT and Tune

Im thinking about trading in my 05 for an 08 GT. Now my question is once I remove my JLT intake from the 05 and upload the stock tune can I install my JLT and tune on 08? The reason I ask this is my 05 is an auto and the 08 is a manual.

Autos and manuals get tuned different ways not to mention the strategys are going to be different. When you get your car just have a custom tune sent out for the new strategy. I believe the programmer also needs to be set for the strat too.

As long as you return your 05 to stock and you are using a canned tune with the 08 in it you can, depends what tuner you are using?

If you look at his sig tho, he's not running a canned tune. He's running the Brenspeed tune.

Im wondering if I have to call Brenspeed up and tell him that I have a manual instead ofthe auto. Hoping he will send me out some new tunes for it.

Your 08 will have a different computer code than your 05.
Plus, the autos & standards will have a difference in the tunes, so you'll need to have Brenspeed email you new tunes.
Not going to be free, since you bought/traded a new car.
You'll also have to provide the code off the 08's computer.

The tune won't work just went through it. The intake will but the tunes is a no go. I had to get another tuner, for my JLT CAI. Good luck.

I decided to keep my 05. The dealer wasnt giving me anything on trade in for my 05 and on top of me being upside on the loan, I said screw it. Thanks for the replies everyone.
