I still don't understand why some folks feel having a Mustang is all about HorsePower? If somebody is perfectly happy with 210HP/240TQ ...let them take the $5K they save on the GT and upgrade and customize their suspension, wheels, sound system, interior and exterior. Why have a Mustang GT that looks like everyone elses ... when you could have a V6 for the same pricethat looks like nobody elses?

You make a good point. But this is what i dont understand. Most guys keyword *Most* Say o I dont care about speed or performance of a v6 i bought it just to have a mustang and I like the looks. But then again there the ones whobuy CAI, tunes, exhaust trying to make it faster and wonder why there not getting much power. I mean if you say you dont car about the performance of it then why buy any of those performance parts? makes no sense.

i'am hoping by stupid cobra that in his opinion it is stupid to keep the cobras when doing thefront end upgradeonto a non cobra mustang.
Yes, thats what I meant. I can't stand it when people put badges on their cars to clone. Body kits are okay, but when you slap on the badges....no.
I completely agree! Slap a body kit on if you feel the need but DON"T badge the thing and become just anotherposer.

I would buy a gt500 in a second.

That probably won't be an option for me so I will probably end up just putting in the motor instead.

I am working on the supporting mods right now.

When the original Mustang came out, it was the first time that a car was offered with so many options. New owners were able to personalize their Stang before it ever left the dealer lot. Fast-forward 40+ years, and the Mustang is still a popular car, but new owners have the good fortune of a HUGE aftermarket to modify their Stangs. Personalizing the S197 is fun, whether you go for looks, horse power, handling, speed, etc. Or you can keep it stock, if that's what you want.

I modded my V6 for MY enjoyment. I like that my V6 will cut low 14's - I LOVE HITTING THE TRACK! I still have less in my car than I could have bought a comparable GT for at the time, so I'm money ahead and I've got a fun DD. Why is that concept hard to understand?
