Default Converting Shaker 500 to Shaker 1000

Hey all...I have an 05 Roush with Shaker 500. My father purchased a 05 GT with Shaker 1000 and he wants to get rid of the box to make room in his trunk.

If he and I change head units....and I remove the box/amp setup....is mine (with shaker 500) going to have the wiring harness or wires ran to the back for the one plug that plugs into the box and amps?

I know that the older mustangs were wired for everything even if it was un necessary (example...fog lights wired on a v6)....

Thanks for the help.

everything is the same. put the cars side by side and swap pieces. the only problem is that the radios need to be downloaded into the WDS at the dealer then uploaded so the cars know the diferance it may work without it. but it would be like a radio replacment and the lights might not dim.

I guess you prefer the "shotgun" approach. Cover all the boards?
same question different place

I was even thinking of hitting www.fnsweet.com for the other Roush owners.....I just thought I would get a broader approach from you all....

all of the plugs should be on the passenger side just below and to the outside of the tail light. the WDS is the Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) it is the computer that the dealer uses to talk to your cars computer modules

Whoa, that is an awesome diagram you found. I'm assuming you work for a dealer or something. Is there any chance you can confirm whether the Shaker 500 has an external amp. I've heard one person say there are amps in the door, and other say the amps are in the head unit. Do you know for certain?
