Default 4.0 vs LT1

what's needed to win, more of a curiosity question here

i'm pretty sure a Vortech SQ-2 would do the trick but wonderin what could get me close

it'd be my 4.0 vs a 96 Camaro LT1 w/ 6M, bone stock 'cept for a flow40

I know the vortech is beastly, but i know a guy who has one on his gt, says he ran an 11.2 on the strip, but he also told me that it doesnt hook up at all on the street, so keep that in mind, plus the 4.0s have posi-trac so that would probably make it even harder to hook up on the streets

I think you meant that the v6 doesn't have limited slip differentials. I thought all the sixer's were peg legs and that would make hooking up quite difficult.

LT1's are pretty stout.

do your pypes "true-dual" run all the way to the exhaust manifold or does this mean that you only have the mid-pipe back? if not, i would say since you already have CAI/Tune, throw L/T headers, 1-piece D/S, and 100-shot of nitrous. that should get you close.

are you trying to beat him on a strip or on the road??? if strip, get you D/R's

4.6 eh? that'd be nice but i'm 17 and a GT doesn't exactly fit financially
so lemme throw this in the ring.... buy me one FTW

the LSD just went in not to long ago so thats fine,
and i have a set of DR's since this will be at the track

it's my buddy's car and i jus wanna have some fun with him on track day

@ mac
i think i'm likin this since it is my D/D so i don't need power on tap, the bottle would be nice, the D/S is a must no matter what, i don't want failure since i do track this car. and what L/T's are there for the 4.0? i've only seen 4.6 L/T's
