What to look for.

What are some things to look for in buying a used turbo? Also what are some of the cars that come with a T04? Thanks for your help.

play in the turbine shaft, chips/dents in the turbine itself, same for the housing and inlet/outlet
isnt a T04 a small turbo? cant remember, but might be on the 96-02 Audi A4 1.8T
