Got car back from dealer last night and the problem was the fuel pump driver control module. There were no engine codes thrown. Car seems to run fine now. Ford tried to charge me for entire repair of $342.00. They didn't pay attention to the warrantee dates. I argued and ended up not paying a cent, warantee covered all including the towing fee.
Did you have any symptoms like spuddering before it died on you? Or did it just die?

Thanks everyone that replied. I have been driving the car more this year and the gas is only a week old. Ohfive ride you explained the simptums better than I did; however. I was unable to drive mine without it stalling. It is funny I told my wife it was like the car knew I was at a car dealership and said I will show his ***. The dealership wont want me if I dont run. Oh, and the emergency brake was OFF. I will keep you guys posted when I find out more.
Last month I traded my 06 GT, had it 2 years with only 3000 miles, garaged and never out in the rain or any inclement weather (decided to purchase the GT 500). I had to travel about 150 miles to pick up the new car and decided to gas up the 06 the night before the trip. On the way to the gas station, my check engine light came on. I read the owner's manual and narrowed the problem down to the gas cap. I filled the car with Amoco gas as I always had and at the same gas station as always. I removed and replaced thegas cap about a dozen times and that would not solve the problem. My wife was with me...I told her that the car has a mind of it's own and must be refusing to be traded. I did everything I could to get that service engine light to go out but to no avail. I called the dealership where I bought the 06 and they were about to close but said they could get to me at 7 am the next morning. I hardly slept that night thinking that there was something serious wrong with the 06 and that it was going to screw me out of the deal I worked on the trade. Turns out that the gas cap was the problem after-all (at least that's what the service tech told me the next morning). The service tech said that sometimes after that check engine light comes on it will take serveral cycles of refilling the tank to make the light go out.
