I was thinking about going with the black shelby pins too. I thought it was hard plastic, didn't know it was painted steel and the black would rub off.
That would make me really skeptical too...but on the other hand I think the black hood pins would look excellent with your super stripe, it would make for great symmetry

Hey - look closer - they do have SHELBY on them

I figured to heck with it since they DON'T have black with no lettering and am glad I did.

Its really no big deal

partscheap.com - got the set for like $90 or so

ORIGINAL: Project Renegade

Yeah, the black hood pins are nice...no doubt....But.......

I too had an issue with the black paint rubbing off. Had to take em off and re-shoot em....But what REALLY pisses me off, is the fact that the lanyards have already rusted under the rubber coating, and the rubber coating around the nice swivel pivot up at the pins has torn....Total crap for the cost......I ordered new lanyards from Summit yesterday.....[:@][:@][:@]

I also have the black Shelby pins, and the paint is coming off. I've only had them for two months. Didn't feel like painting them, so I ordered the silver set.
