To be honest, due to the aftermarket the mustang is easily the most powerfull car on the planet. This is partly because its so good stock.

Heres a BS example that no one will build but whatever:

Ford Mustang GT: 13k
Seibon light weight reinforced doors + BMR light weight suspention: 2k
Saleen Full Suspention: 2k
Whipple 3.4l: 7k
Nissan GT-R Transaxle with linear conversion mod assembly: 5k
Forged internals/nsr cams: 2k

Cost of Used Civic SI with turbo = 31k (because they hold their value so well lol)


Total of that car: 31k




Civic SI turbo:

Weight: 3000lbs
Hp: 380 @ 9psi
Handeling: (see mustang)
0-60: 4.5
1/4 mile: 11.5


"Hypothetical Mustang":

Weight: 3000lbs
Hp: 690+ @ 10psi
Handeling: Best ever tested on a street legal car (according to motortrend and the saleen extremes suspention installed here (In fact slalom speed is 15% better than civic si, which is huge as the difference between the SI and the normal civic is only 2.7%)).
0-60: 3.7
1/4 mile: 9.2 seconds

Anyway if some tools are trying to insult you along the lines of their aftermarket cars are better than your stock mustang GT, then they are just looking to be embarrassed. Once you start comparing dollar for dollar and modded to modded, nothing I can easily think of in that price range stands a chance.

But the Civic is not gonna beat the GT by any means.

The Stang 6'er will beat them. I see tons of these zit-faced, baggy pants knuckleheads at the track...and with typical run-around town mods, they are running high 14's and low 15's...at BEST.

A 6'er with a tune will easily double length them.

My wife in astock GT talking on her cellphone would hand them their ****.

You have NOTHING to worry about. Throw down a full bill and tell them to put up or shut up.

it's not gonna hang with the Stang without a turbo and even then my guess is you'll be faster off the line and going but he will catch up when the turbo kicks in...

if you S/C the stang he has no chance
