TPMS
Just want to check on this...
Going to swap my wheels shortly. What do I need to purchase for the TPMS? I've seen the Ford sensors online, but they come with no bands. I'll need bands that fit on a 20" wheel. I'm assuming the bands on my 20's right now are not reusable...
Is this something I should purchase myself and take with me or can I expect a tire place to have everything they need to set up the TPMS (including the calibrating tool) without looking at me like I'm an idiot? Would I be better off to just suck it up and let the dealer do the installation?

RE: TPMS
OEM bands are non-reusable. Ford supplies worm gear
band/hose clamps to service broken non-reusable factory
installed bands.
Almost all aftermarket are big worm gear band/hose clamps.
Unless your 20s had the sensors installed at the Ford factory,
they should be able to use your 20" bands on your new 20" wheels.

Thanks, I didn't even think about the fact that if my bands are the hose clamp type that they could just unscrew it...Makes sense. And no, they're aftermarket bands because my wheels are aftermarket. So really I just gotta figure out if I want to break the seal on the tires and rims just to get the bands and sensors...or if I just want to spend a few bucks and get new ones. Thanks!

And then you will have to train them everytime you swap wheels. [&:]

Yeah I am probably just gonna buy new sensors and bands...no need to train them after the initial one, staggered wheels with directional tires = no rotations ever!

The SJB only allows 4 sensors to be recognized and stored into memory
at anyone time.
2 sets of tires/rims wit two different sets of TPMS sensors would require
retraining is one set of tires/rims were swapped for another set with different
TPMS sensors mounted inside.
