40,000 miles + minor dents, should I trade in for new or fix it back up to be like new
Ive had my stang for2 years and I didnt take very good care of it. Now the interior is all stained, it has minor scratches and dents all over it and I have over 40,000 miles. What do you think would be cheaper, fixing it up or trading it in for a whole new stang?

hehe probably fixing it up.. unless you can sucker someone into buying it for a high price I doubt you'll get much for it.. 15k for a GT, 10K v6.. so it'll cost you 10k to get a new one. trade in to the dealer may be as low as 12k for a GT and 8k for a v6, costing you 13k+ for a new one
Fixing it up probably wont be that hard or expensive. Most stains can be gotten out.. Just talk to a detailer, he might charge you a bit but will probably be worth it to have a like new interior.. and then a body shop can probably get rid of the dents and scratches.

It's almost always cheaper to repair a car than to buy a new one. As long as the car got regular oil changes and other maintenance, 40,000 miles isn't really that much. Keep it, fix it up and take care of it.

Private party sell her and start from scratch.
Nothing like that new car smell and new shiny paint.
Maybe dont drink or eat in the new one and
baby her a little more?

wow I cant believe you didnt take care of her . I mean atleast made some decent efforts when I had my last car a Suzuki Verona cleaning the leather and dash before dates , never washed it once, I think I vaccumed it once , and maybe in the year (18,000) I had it I changed my oil twice but I promised myself I would treat my Mustang better .

And why did you buy a New Mustang and treat it like sh*t? That is the dumbest thing I have heard in a while on here.......I bought a brand new car and spilled drinks and cheetos and sh*t all over it......dented it all up and scratched it all up.[sm=dontgetit.gif].......some people should only be allowed to buy Geo's and Escorts[:@]

just fix the one you have and take better care of it!!
Dents and scratches sometimes happen whether you baby it or not....other people being careless are usually the reason for dents, dings, and scratches!!
But your interior having stains is totally your fault!! Not like someone came in your car and ate a cheeseburger!!
