tuner question
I've heard of a few people lately saying that their tune was making their car run toorich. I was thinking of getting a CAI and tune, but now I am a little more reluctant. I plan on keeping the car for a very long timeandI don't want to hurt the engine. I don't live close to a dyno so I won't be able to have it dyno tuned. If I did get a tune I would most likely run it on an 87 octane tune. I guess what I am getting to is wouldan 87 tune be safer to run andnot make itrun rich compared to running a 91 tune?

RE: tuner question
I guess it was a different forum that I readsomeone had a Bamachips tune took it to a dyno and showed that it was running rich. It might have been a 1 in a million type of deal. I just wanted to know if anyone else had there car dynoed after there tune to see if it was running were it should be. I know that there are a ton of people running eitherBamachips and Brenspeed so they must be doing something right.

RE: tuner question
My STOCK tune was running above 15:1 at WOT. What you really should do is get the intake and tune and strap it on the dyno. Then, if the AFR is off at all, send it to your tuner to revise the tune. Where you get a custom tune or are running the stock tune, you may have AFR issues. The only way to find out is with a wideband. But don't stop yourself from putting in a tune and intake just because of that.
Brenspeed's tune tend to be safer as far as AFR is concerned. But after getting my Bamachips tuned dynoed and dialed in, it's flippin awesome.
