The tuner is not a piece of ****, how did you come to that conclusion? The problem is obviously not the tuner but the tune. The face that you use 5-6 miles for 2 miles of travel points to an incorrect gear ratio in the tune. Either change it yourself to 4.10 via the SCT user menu or have a new tune e-mailed to you (Brenspeed, Bama, VMP).

I agree cept for the speedo would be off too and he should notice this.

call brenspeed and they email me a tune? crap, im in too deep with this stuff, can't i just go to a different shop? amI coming to a realization that my $500 tuner was a piece of ****
any different shop will cost a hell of alot more than $50. Why cant you spend that much for a tune from the top 3 email tune companies around??

So im running the mods listed below and im using 91oc with my tune andI average about 12-13mpg. is this too low? also, my speedo tells me how many milesI have untill empty starting at 50 miles till empty.I drive about 2 miles to the grocery store and in that2 mile my car uses 5-6 miles of gas (according to the speedo). Im confused on how this is?
The problem might not be with your tune. How accurate is your speedo? If it's not right the computer won't be able to calculate the gas milage correctly.

Loading the tune is simple as putting an MP3 on your IPod pretty much. Very easy.

Your mileage, if you're calculating by hand is too low. 12-13mpg is nuts unless you're just flooring it from every light and braking like you're running on the Nurburgring.

However, the last part you mentioned about the display showing 50 miles to empty, then driving to the store which is 2 miles away then losing 4-6 miles is normal.

It still sounds absurd the amount you are filling up everyweek. it does not seem like you drive that far and like Qusus said, unless our flooring it off every light, it should not be that low at all.

Those 4.10's are sure not helping. Not at all!

My neighbor has a GT (I have a 6er and a former GT owner) and we were just comparing mileage amounts. tonight I am getting right at 400 miles per tank (around 26.5 mpg) and have locked in there pretty consistently now.

He and I have similar commutes and he is a solid 16 mpg. He said he gets less than 250 per tank...so you are not far off those numbers.

I do drive very easy on the gas...and I hear him come home...so maybe not so easy on his part! All that being said, with those gears...if you are not trying to conserve gas, you are not going to see much better.
