When you buy a new mustang from a Ford dealer and is has stripes are they vinyl or painted on?

I chose vinyl on mine for a few reasons:
1) cost
2) can change my mind
3) Live with it for a time, and if I like it, save up for painted stripes.
4) accessories like chin spoiler or rear spoiler is very easy to add the stripes with little expense.
I don't consider the vinyl a shortcut, but I can understand why those who did paint like it. If I had the money to do painted AND other mods, I might, but for now, my budget is limited, so I can do vinyl stripes, and $1500+ of other mods.

Nothing wrong with vinyl, assuming they're done properly. Mine weren't and it ended up being wasted
money.
And yes, I was talking about the Ford "Over the Top" racing stripe package.
Personally, if I were going to to vinyl again, I'd order a set from BSM and do it myself. For what many will
charge you to install, you can order 2 or even 3 sets from BSM to cover mistakes and repairs. More time
consuming, but, going to a pro doesn't guarantee an acceptable result (mine is proof, they were horrific). Make
sure to ask for referrals and/or examples of a stripers work before having them touch your car (2 of my mistakes).
Another option, on a new car, is to have the dealer do it prior to delivery. Helps to make sure they are motivated
to make it right (my 3rd mistake in the stripe debacle) or refuse delivery.
Paint is, effectively, a one shot deal, but it does come out slick...
money.

Wow I understimated how long the car would be gone...I figured 2 or 3 days.

Guess I'll be keeping the vinyl ones for now!
Besides, with my luck, I'd get some *** clown who'd botch the job away.
