Well, its a V6 but its supercharged and will have LTs. And custom tuned.

It won't sound exactly the same but even if its close, I'm sure I'll be happy with it.

Even so... if they sound more quiet than yours, I'll be even happier.

The Borla seem very loud, but there is no popping and the sound is crisp. No other muffler does that.

Yeah, Borlas are very smooth! Can't beat 'em on these 3v engines.

Thanks. The prochamber and O/R H give different sounds. I had a Pypes O/R H for one day. I couldn't stand the trumpeting, so I sold it. It sounded like I was trying to race when I wasn't. High flow cats can get rid of the trumpets though. Since Pypes makes their H-pipe in 4 pieces now, it will be very easy to splice in the Pypes cats just like I did. Hope your Bassani cats have O2 bungs built in because you will need them. You can pretty much go by these instructions http://pysales.com/inst/XFM23-26%20instructions.pdf but I'd do my own measuring instead of trusting the stated measurements. Here's a pic of my modded prochamber.

Here's what an O/R H with stingers sounds like ...a la TacoBill. Not too bad, but the trumpeting is much much louder than you can hear in the vid.
Also be aware that if your not running 4.10 gears, you won't be running the same rpms as he is, and since this reduces the load on the engine, it will change the sound also.

In case you don't know what trumpeting sounds like, check out this vid. There is a clear double trumpet occuring at the 8sec and 9sec marks. It is really loud in person and extremely annoying.

The video in my original post finally made it to google, but the details are not showing up yet. Oh well, at least it sounds good.

Thanks warmachine! Im gonna try the O/R H first and drive around for a day to see if i like it. If its toomuch like i think i may be, ill put the cats on. the bassani cats do have the o2 bungs and all ill have to do is measure where theyll fit best, then cut..weld and plug in and go ..LOL BTW my cars an auto so im sure the trumpeting will be even worse w/out cats....but i would be crazy not to try it first!

Thanks, boomer.

After thinking it over and listening to a few vids, I'm now thinking that BBK shorty headers is the way to go.
Assuming that emissions laws will most likely become more strict (nothing bad ever gets less strict, does it [&o]), I may be forced to use my stock midpipe one day to pass emissions (high-flows might not be good enough). If I were to get LT's, I can't be paying the money to uninstall and reinstall them just to pass emissions.
Brenspeed also sells BBK shorties. Install shouldn't be too bad. Maybe I'll be brave enough to do it myself. []

I like the way the BBK shorty headers separate and sharpen the exhaust pulses in these vids....even if the mufflers do sound terrible[:'(]

Even on this V6, you can tell the difference the BBK shorties make. Gotta love that strong thumping!

I'd be worried about emissions too if I ever moved out of Florida. But to be honest, I already have the HI-PO X-Charger (non-Cali) version. So even if I didn't get LTs, I think the S/C would still put me out of commission.
