RE: OEM HIDs
i have stangmods dual beam hid kit and couldnt be happier. They ran me around $289 and compared to the stock lights they are 10x better. You can see so much more at night and i've never been flashed by oncoming traffic. they have good cutoffs

from allfordmustangs:
'I have the Saleen HIDs (yes, I did spring for the kit) and I can tell you that there is virtually NO blue coloration to the lights at all. When you first turn on the headlights, the coloration starts at purplish and then gets to full strength at less than 5 seconds, and then the light is a solid white. High beams work, and switching back and forth from lows to highs is instantaneous, just like with conventional headlights.I don't blind people with my HIDs, since the units were designed as a HID system from the ground up and have the appropriate reflectors.I'd wait until Ford starts offering them OEM on 'Stangs (bound to happen sooner or later) and pick a set up then - it should be cheaper than the $1k I burned up for mine from Saleen... If you DO decide to get the Saleen kit, get it directly from them, it's cheaper than California Mustang and others that tack on an extra hundred bucks to the list price.DON'T waste your money sticking HID bulbs in the stock headlight units, you will glare the hell out of oncoming traffic and be a safety hazard to others.'

RE: OEM HIDs
I have the OEM HID's on my 08 GT/CS and love them. The Hi Beams are amazing! Not as bright as a beemer but they definately look cool. Wish the fogs were HID or at least had the ring around them. Problem with HID's ive heard is if a bulb goes out (usually after around 1000 firings) they are expensive as hell to replace but just get the extended care warranty and its covered!
