All I can say is...[sm=imsorry.gif], and[sm=WTFsgign.gif]is wrong with those jags at the dealership? Time to get the owner involved! Give him a piece of your mind and demand to be taken care of. I hate dealerships!!!

I asked someone I know who sells Jeeps about swapping the trunk...not a chance in hell. They'd be liable for a fraud case from the sucker who buys theother car.

I am going to push the Ford Corporate button simply to get them involved so they know about it. Trying to solve this problem just between the dealer and I could prolong the matter more so than it already has.

No matter what happens, these shmoes aren't touching this car again.

Wow, that's BS....get a lawyer. The dealership os FOS. Who financed that car? Please post the name of the dealership (in it's own thread for search reasons - Don't buy from Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, MD) so that we can avoid them in the future.

Really? When I bought my 06 a couple weeks ago they put a hood w/scoop on it from an 08 Of course that was with the 08 owner's approval.

This is crazy, it is hard to believe that any real Ford dealership can't get something that simple right. I'd go directly through Ford and make them work it out to send you to a better dealership.

I've had two occasions with my 07 where they used lot cars as donor cars for parts. Once where my belt shredded the other when my passenger seat was coming apart at the seams. Dealers sometimes need help but me=not happe means I aint coming back. But I've bought 5 cars from them now and I know pretty much everyone that works there...on purpose

Even if they allow a swap, it'll be at another dealership. What about getting a new one pre-painted and shipped directly from the factory? Anyone ever heard of that being an option? I'd prefer to steer clear of any body shop painting since it is new and carries the paint warranty. Anyone whose ever been in a wreck knows body paint just is not going to last as long.

I am going through the same thing right now. I picked up my new car a month ago - not with the factory GT scoop, but a Roush scoop on the hood. WTF? It's grown on me, but it is not attached correctly and the paint is burned in a few spots from misapplication of a buffer. And to round things out, the idiots drilled two holes in my front bumper to mount their "dealer license plate frame."

I had to speak with the general manager before I got anywhere. I'm dropping it off next week to have a new scoop and new front bumper cover installed. I can't believe the incompetence.
