So I was driving onthe highway, passing a truck with lots of stuff on the back and I hear a big thunk on the right side of my car. I pulled over as soon as I could checked the car and found that whatever fell hit the rim on the rear right. Of course , it has a gouge in it! right along the tire line. It is not an issue with function, just looks like crap. I am so pissed.

I have the 18" polished aluminum rims on my GT, how much do you think replacing it is gonna cost me?
I purchased my setfor my 06 GT from Barkhouser Ford, Danville, Virginia and paid $250 per wheel, 18" polished aluminum, including centers and lugs.

Yeah , I know it could have been worse. It sure startled the heck out of me when I heard that BANG!
I was on a 3 lane interstate and could not get then name of the co. on the truck. I was more concerned to look at what had happened or what had I run over etc.... No body damage, thank God. I guess I will have to save up to replace the rim eventually. It just makes me mad because I have been sooooo careful with this car!
Have you checked your insurance policy to see if you can recover under "comprehensive" coverage (not "collision"). Should not be any different than windshield damage from rocks, etc. Many ppl carry a lower comprehensive deductible than collision. Good luck!
