Default RE: advise for a GT500

Guys I gotta tell you,

this forum never fails to impress me. I told the guys at work about my dilemma, and that I was going to post it on this forum to get others opinion. The guys at work all said dont post it, since they are all mustang "nuts" and are basically going to say "yes" to anything.

The opinions posted are all logical and each makes sense. However, the consenus was that empting a bank account and going into debt to go faster was a bad idea. I must confess, I have a hard time arguning with this. So, I have decided to pass on the GT500 for now. Instead I will drop a conservative $3-4K into my pony and I am sure I will love the results and not feel guilty about it. Besides, I do sleep well at night knowingI have $16 in cash, Just in case.

To all who provided opinions [sm=thanx.gif]

good choice.... a Shelby GT500 is an awesome Mustang...but it's not worth ruining yourself over.... wait til you know you have the money

drop a couple grand on your stang now and save the rest of your money and keep saving.... then when it's time to switch out the car you have now maybe you can get a Cobra

Although I'm sure there isn't one of us that doesn't smile at the thought of more torque and HP at our disposal. Of course, then reality, and $4 gas slaps us in the face as well as the current economy so cash in hand is a good thing to have these days.

If you need an occasional "kick", put a bottle of happy juice in the trunk and hit that button every now and then.
