Default RE: Car Cover

I live in Central New Jersey and use a car cover every day. I have the weathershield one from the Ford dealer. I got it about 3 months after I got the car. So far it is the best investment I have made. It is like having a garage, when you don't. Snow slides off easily, I use a soft push broom..to not scratch anything underneath.... and rain rolls right off it. I have never had a problem with it freezing to the car. It is amazing how much time I have saved not having to wash the car every other day since using the cover. as most of us are I am sort of compulsive that is not be dirty. It has an open grommet for the antenna to go through as well as silk screened logos on the hood of it and the rear. I got it from a dealer that a friend works for, so I got his price on it. Well worth it even if I did not get the discount!
The weird thing is that I actually got a compliment on it from a neighbor! Also I had travelled in my other vehicle for over a month and the stang was parked at home. When I took off the cover it was perfect.. just a bit of touch up on the rims with some ICE and off I went! Will post some pics in a bit.....

Man if I had to park my baby outside for the winter, I would get one of those portable garages, to keep the snow off, and maybea good outside cover.

The CoverKing Stormproof Cover is the way to go.

We have sold a lot of these for the Corvette through our sister site and added them for the mustang a few months ago.

BEST cover out there.

Where did you get it for $150?
I got it on ebay 3 years ago.
I will try to look tonight to see which vendor it was from.

the scratches were from the cover moving. Improper cover(too loose) do this all the time. seen it many times..

I have a Moss motors silver plus cover by Cover King.. Fits tight and works perfect. Inexpensive too. The best cover I have ever used in my 25 years of using covers.. Highly recommended. $129 too

I used a Noah car cover the firt winter I had the car. It was the winter of 2005. I parked the car in the back of the driveway after washing and waxing it. I placed thje cover on the car and let her sleep through the winter. We had a fair amount of snow that year, and some windy days. In the spring, I removed the cover and the trunk lid had scuff marks where the cover rubbed against the paint. The rest of the car was fine.

To this day, if you look closely, you can still see the scuff marks. If you do use a cover during the winter, make sure you take the snow off the car and don't let it melt into the fabric and re-freeze. I think this is what was responsible for the scuff marks.
