I was wondering what brand of coolant everyone uses in theirMustangs. My car is fairly new and I haven't had a need to top off the coolant but it's getting about that time. The owner's manual says to use Motorcraft Premium Gold with bittering agent(yellow colored). Is there an equivalent to this in case I can't find it? I assume the dealership would carry the Motorcraft coolant but I don't want to go there.

 

Zerex has a gold coolant that meets the Ford spec. I forget the designation, but I think most of the places like Auto Zone carry it. Look for the Ford spec. no.

50-50 mix with distilled water. If just topping off then straight coolant not gonna hurt.
