Not to threadjack, but what is the max MPH with 4.10s? Over 147? I just want to ensure that I can still go as fast as I..uh..need to.

With inputs of:
RPM = 6200
Tire Diameter = 27
rear ratio = 4.1
trans ratio = .62 (the 5th gear ratio of the Tremec TR-3650 tranny)
Yields a speed of 195 MPH. Pretty Fast! Of course the aero dynamics and stock power of the car never allow you to get there.
So the answer is NO, 4.10 gears do not effect your top speed.

All gears. Every gear, 1st-5th will wind up faster.
Think of it like a bike. You have the front chainrings in different sizes.
The small front chainring is much easier to pedal than the front big ring. Putting in
4.10's will be like going from the front big ring to the small front ring.
Hope that kind of makes sense.

Ok well I'm a Chevy guy also since I have a 66 Nova but let me tell you it made a huge difference. I was on the fence about it also but now I have no doubt that I made the right choice. I was at the track last week and raced this 07 GT and was beating him by .6 of a second in the 1/8 mile. I tried to tell him it was stock but he was noticing that I was shifting more than he was. Ooops.
